Documents on Network Shares after Computer Standby

Hello Everybody

Two of our employees are experiencing an issue with documents on network shares.
After leaving standy/hibernate mode XChange Editor (v8) appears to loose the reference to the document's original file path. The document can only be saved using Save As and the original cannot no be overriden because it is "in use".

Any ideas?

as I understand it this is an issue with V8 that was resolved in a later version.

Can you test the current build and let us know if it helps?

Unfortunately no, the maximum maintenance time on license is 3 years, and the final release of V8 came out in 2021. Sadly there is no way it could be compatible with current releases given the age.
