I just tried to install pdf-xchange editor (free version) using the file downloaded from your site. During installation, Windows Explorer shut down, but did not restart - my screen stayed blank except for the pdf-xchange window. I shut off my laptop and tried to restart it, but it does nothing. I need this fixed ASAP.
This is a Windows 10 Pro, fully updated HP Spectre laptop.

Hello fruno,
It seems that the Windows Explorer crashed when the PDF Editor sent command to unload it.
Please restart it using the Task Manger.
You can access the Task Manger by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del simultaneously.
You can find the Windows Explorer, at the bottom of the running processes list.
Regards.
