Can you add photos to a PDF drawing

Post by Craigap »

We work with lots of site layout PDF drawings whist conducting site surveys and would like to be able to 'embed' photos in certain areas that pop out when ypu hover or click on that part of the drawing. This would make it much easier to know which photos are of which areas, rather than retrying to reference them separately.
Is this possible or would we need to use a completely different software for this?

Hello Craigap,

You can try to use the File Attachment annotation tool.
That should allow you to add your images to the file with a visual representation of the file at the desired position on the PDF file's pages.

You can also try out form fields that take images into them - but that will likely be a bit more cumbersome to set up initially (so depending on your plans might not be the best approach), and then you can add images to that form field (Editor Plus license will be required for the initial creation of the form fields).

Kind regards,
Stefan
