[suggestion] Merge files according to a .txt or .pdtfl list

Post by bayer_a »

Good day,
It would be very handy to merge pdf files according to the sequence mentioned in the simple list of .txt of .pdtfl file.

Hello, bayer_a

This should already be possible. When a file list is provided, tools tries to process those file in the defined order from the list. That processing order is used by the "split/merge PDF's" tool directly.

Do you have "batch processing mode" enabled for your tool? If not, please do so, to ensure that the files are processed as a cohesive group, instead of individually (which would prevent merging from happening).

Kind regards,

Hello, bayer_a

Batch processing mode is visible and enabled in your screenshot:

As for use of a file list. This is part of the "choose input files" action. If you do not see that option, you will need to update the software. It is not a particularly new function, but your current build is over 2 years out of date.

Hello, bayer_a,

The reason you do not see the option to provide a Files List (*.pdtfl) as input is because you have selected Local Place as the input source:

Local Place is treated as a regular folder, so the available options are the same as for a standard folder.

Please choose My Computer or any Remote Place, and you will see the Select files list option:
