Image disappear

Images disappear when PDF X1-a is opened in other programs. The images are still visible in PDF-XChange but disappear in Acrobat and other programs. They are regular PNG or JPG images.

It does look like you are using an older version of our software, could I ask you to please update to the latest release, and see if re-saving the original file as PDF/X-1a is able to reformat this properly.

I would also be keen to see the original file, before any conversion to X-1a has happened... Unless this file is the original, and was never in another format. In which case, the image here is already damaged, and does not appear in other apps, irrespective of conversions to other formats.

How have these images been applied to your PDF documents? Are you using our software for the whole process, or are others using different apps along the way for some tasks?

Hi Daniel!

The attached document was created in PDF-XChange, and the original image has been inserted. Additionally, the same image has been inserted from a PDF/X-1a file. The unprocessed image displays without any issues, while the PDF/X-1a image disappears when the document is opened in another PDF reader. I am working in the latest version of PDF-XChange, 10.6.0 - 396.

This seems to be the bug that's causing me a crisis. I'm inserting a CMYK cover image into my cover PDF/x-1a for IngramSpark, and the picture gets blown away. I need a solution RIGHT NOW.

Yes, it's a huge problem. The problem was gone but has come back.
And now there is no way to check if there is problem or not.

i have couple of questions regarding the file.
How do you convert images from RGB to DeviceGray? (page 2-3)
On page 4 first two images are monochrome 1 bit per component gray images. Is this result of converting page 3 to pdfx1a on your side? it is strange result, that I cannot reproduce on our side. what version of sofrware are you using?
