When a document tab is moved using "Move Tab to New Window" command etc., the window title isn't always updated properly

=== UPDATE ===================================================================
The issue reported below has been resolved in Ver 10.7.0 build 398.
I appreciate all the hard work and efforts of the support and development team.
==============================================================================

Hello all,

To open a tab in a new window, you can either (A) drag the tab out of the window or (B) execute the “Move Tab to New Window” command from the tab's context menu or "Move Active Document Tab to New Window" command from the View Tab.

  • Command.png
However, I noticed that when you open a window using method (B), the title of the active tab and the title of the window mismatch in both the original window and the new window (shown in the video #1). I have also noticed other similar issue when one tab is open in a window and the tab is dragged and dropped on top of another window (shown in the video #2).

These problems are temporary, and once the page view is active, such as by selecting a tab, the window title will reflect the actual situation. Additionally, in all cases, the tab titles will reflect the correct status. However, given that some users enable the "Hide tab bar when only a single document is opened" option in the preferences, it seems that improvements are needed.

Video #1

  • In the following verification video, the two files, "apple.pdf" and "orange.pdf", are opened as tabs, and in the first half of the video (Part 1), the tab for "orange.pdf" is dragged out of the window. In this case, as shown in the screen capture below, the tab title and the window title match in both windows, and everything is as intended.

    In the second half of the video (Part 2), "Move Tab to New Window" command is executed from the context menu of the "orange.pdf" tab to open it as a new window. In both the original window and the new window, you should see a mismatch between the title of the active tab and the title of the window, as shown in the screen capture below.

Video #2

  • In the following verification video, you open one file, "apple.pdf", and open a new window (*) by dragging the tab to the outside of the window. Then drag the tab of that new window to the top of the original window. Note that dragging to the original window does not mean docking as a tab in the original window, but only when opened as a separate new window. You should see that the window indicated by (*), which is the source of the drag, still shows the old window title "apple - PDF-XChange Editor", even though no documents were opened at all.

Hoping that the above information will be of some help to you.
Thank you so much for your continued support.

Best regards,
rakunavi

Hello Dimitar, thank you for contacting developers.

I noticed a problem that might be related, so I am reporting it below.

When you open the same document in two tabs using the "Duplicate Tab" command and then move one of the tabs to another window by dragging it, you will notice that even if you update the contents of one window and an asterisk (*) appears in the window title, the title of the other copied window will not have an asterisk (*). In this case as well, activating the page view correctly reflects the asterisk status at that point, so it may be caused by the same issue reported at the beginning of this topic.

Please give my best regards to the developer.
