Hello, Kreiger81

Thank you for the report, I cannot determine if this sounds like an installation error, or something else after the fact, so if possible, Could I ask you to follow both troubleshooting methods. First, please enable crash dumps, as per the article below, and reproduce the crash that way:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgeba ... estigation
After that, please follow the steps here, to reinstall with installation logging enabled. This should generate a file which can help us identify if anything important was missing during the process:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgeba ... or-Support
After that reinstall, check if the issue is still present, and if it is, please include the installer log as well.

Once you have both files, please place them into a zip archive, and then upload them with this link (it should remain usable for about 2 weeks, let me know if you need more time):
https://files.tracker-software.support/ ... YLdnf8Q9DY
Finally, please let me know once those files are present, and I will pass them along to the Dev team for further investigation. I have also notified the Dev team of your report here, so if they need any other details, one of them may post directly.

Kind regards,

Did this get resolved? I am having the same issue and I am using build 10.6.1.397.
I tried all the same things the poster said above. Was anything ever resolved with this?

Thank you,
C

Hello, PDFXChange_BasicFiller

If you have tried all of that, and still did not find a solution, we would ask that you do the same as I requested in my previous post. Below I have created a personal upload link for you to use, instead of the one presented in that post:

Can you please download and install the VC Redistributable pack from Microsoft's site: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/w ... w=msvc-170 ?

Or try to disable the Azure RMS plugin by unchecking a corresponding check box in the Editor's preferences dialog (File -> Preferences -> Plugins). Please note that disabling the plugin requires the Editor to restart to take effect.

(Re) installing latest VC_redist.x64 seems to make pdf-xchange working as expected.
But it's strange because i already have installed this runtime for others softwares and they were working fine. :?

back to my personnal notes :

- i use automatic download and install update for pdf-xchange by internet
- everything was fine : uninstall then update to the latest version
- after update , reboot pc and then pdf-xchange was not working

Could you please inform us next time if we have to (re) install others components .
Thank you for your Help

Best Regards

Hello, dd85

Thank you, the file is here, and from what we could see, the suggestion Ivan made should help in most cases.

The latest version updated our azure plugin, and part of it requires the latest VCRedist, which most people should have installed already, but in some cases it might have been omitted through updates. Reinstallation generally shouldn't be necessary if it was already present, but it seems there is something unique about your environment that made this a necessity.
