Customize default settings of the editing tools

Post by MatSam »

Hi all!

Can the default settings of the editing tools be customized?

For example, I would like the strikethrough dashes to be in a different color and thicker for better visibility.
At the moment, I apply the desired formatting each time on every single item, but is there a way to modify it so that a different format I choose becomes the standard default?

Thanks!

Hello, MatSam

You can customize the existing default as needed from the styles palette window directly:

Then selecting them from the toolbar options will load that customized preset:

Thanks for your reply, which I only saw today! I managed to 'save' another style, but only partially, in the sense that I set a certain color and a certain thickness for striking through the text, but the system only keeps the new color I chose, not the thickness setting. Better than nothing, though!

Hello, MatSam

Thickness should be retained as well, Can you try pushing Ctrl_5 (this toggles "thin lines" mode on and off). I expect that the thickness is present, and this option is just preventing you from seeing it on the page.
