Hi! I'm having a compatibility problem regarding newer releases of PDF-XChange Editor and an iPad app called PDF Expert. Annotations made on PDF-XChange show up with a text box on PDF Expert. There's even a thread on this forum about this.
Upon some research, I found out that the build 10.1.0.380 works fine, but I can't find the Portable version anywhere. Is it possible to get a copy of this Portable build? Thanks a lot.

Re: In need of old portable build
Hello, papabr
You will want to report that issue to the developers of PDF Expert directly, as we do create our annotations according to the PDF specification. If they are displaying those items incorrectly, it sounds like they are not fully understanding the latest data from the PDF format.
I should said that this may not be a bug on their end, but an issue with the OS in general. iOS devices in general do not play well with PDF, and mobile apps in general are not great at handling these items either. As you are doing both right there, its quite common to encounter some minor issues, and I would highly recommend against making any changes to files in this scenario.
As for getting a copy of the portable, I am sorry to say that we do not offer such older versions any longer. You can download the current latest portable version from the Editor product page.
Kind regards,

Hello all,
@papabr
Maybe verify if you have the latest version of PDF Expert (I suppose v3.10.19) :
See : https://macupdater.net/app_updates/appinfo/com.readdle.PDFExpert-Mac/index.html
More about a related annotations problem:

Unfortunately, it's the iOS version of the app and the updated version is still not working. But thanks for the response.Willy Van Nuffel wrote: ↑Thu Aug 28, 2025 8:25 pm Hello all,
