Is it possible to compress the images inside stamps without flattening them?
When commenting on a pdf, I'd prefer to have the images as markup rather than base content, but it seems to increase the file size quite dramatically. Is there a way to recompress images inside stamps without flattening them?
Single image inserted as a stamp 2707kb. "Recompress Images" results in dialog "No changes were made..."
Same image inserted as base content is same size 2707kb. But "Recompress Images" at Medium quality results in 66kb file:
If I take the image in the last file, copy and paste as stamp, then delete the base content image, I get there (ie 66kb file), but it's quite a few extra steps:

Hello Mathew,
I'm afraid we currently do not have a way to achieve this.
However, I will forward your query to our developers and ask them to review it and share their thoughts on the matter.
Best regards,

Hi, Mathew,
If you flatten the stamp onto a blank page you will get a huge reduction in file size. Then, create a Stamp from that.

Thanks to Matthew and +1 for this feature request.
There is another thread which I believe is closely related to this one and already has a ticket assigned to it.

Re: Compress images in stamps
Hello, All
It is worth noting that the new "edit stamp" tool may help here. Provided the stamp you are using contains image based content, you can edit the stamp: And then use the normal base content/image editing tools, to recompress the version of the image in the original stamp file, so that it will be smaller when placed in a document. Often this can lead to notable size savings, especially if you are willing to reduce the DPI of the image somewhat: Kind regards,
