I used the Export to MS Word recently and I was mostly satisfied with the result. This evening I used the Export to MS Word but the resulting docx file is only an image of the pdf. The pdf is all text. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Export to MS Word - result is an image in a docx file
I think I know what happened.
A few weeks ago I exported a pdf to MS Word. It was from a pdf I had in my files. The result was an editable docx file. Either OCR had been applied to the pdf when I created it or I had saved it "as a pdf" from my printer options and OCR was automatically applied to the pdf.
This most recent attempt at exporting a different pdf to MS Word produced a docx file with only an image. This pdf was created from a bmp file. I had not applied OCR to the pdf. After I posted by question, I decided to apply OCR to the newly created pdf. I was then able to export the pdf to MS Word and the result was an editable docx file.

Re: Export to MS Word - result is an image in a docx file
Hello David,
Thank you for the quick update.
I was about to point out that if the original PDF file contained only an image - the expected conversion result would be the same.
Also if a virtual "printing" was used the result would be optimized for printing and that usually include vectorization of your text - if such file is then converted I will also expect similar result.
I hope this helps.
