Default printer is automatically set to "PDF-XChange Standard" inadvertently without user interaction

Hello,

during the active session, the default printer is automatically switched to "PDF-XChange Standard" after some time without the logged-in users having initiated this themselves.
This happens after ca. 30+ min.

The environment is:
Windows Server 2022 Terminalserver (with Citrix)
"PDF-XChange Printer Standard" Version: 10.6.1 (Build 397).

thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, removing the checkmark from "Let Windows manage my default printer" does not solve the problem for us. That was actually one of the first things my colleagues tried.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Since our driver cannot set itself as the default, I guess that this is controlled by the local policies.

Is it possible for you to check what policies are loaded on the users/workstations by the server?

The other option is if some security software is reverting the changes made to the registry.
