Use a PDF "creation recipe", determining the order PDFs are put together into one

Post by Nautilus »

I want to make a recipe for determining the order PDFs are combined into one big PDF - A text file. The order is the key thing here. If I need to reorder something i would just alter the recipe and process the files again, I dont need to drag and drop pages and bookmarks around hours on end.

Code: Select all

<combinepdf>
<files>
<pdf name="DRW456984" path="filestoprocess"/>
<pdf name="DRW44355_44" path="filestoprocess"/>
<pdf name="DRW333AA" path="filestoprocess"/>
</files>
</combinepdf>
In the next step add more functionality, how to handle bookmarks, open view maybe or combine more file formats; tiff, text, docx

Hello, Nautilus

We offer a "file list" function for the "choose input files" tool. Essentially, you create a plain text file, that includes your target files full file paths, in the order you wish for the files to be processed. Then you save that text file with a *.PDTFL extension, and PDF-Tools is able to load it directly.

This should also support alternate file extensions, as long as the tool you have selected it able to process them.

Kind regards,
