Feature Request - Autocomplete in Form Fields or Text Box

We have users that add commonly used terms to PDF documents that arrive in emails and faxes.
For example, add name of a physician or a procedure to PDF documents.
Adobe Acrobat provides Autofill/Autocomplete option [url]https://www.adobe.com/au/acrobat/roc/blog/how-to-autofill-autocomplete-pdf-forms.html[/url] in form fields that remembers the text you previously typed and allows to quickly select it.
See the example in screenshot below:

As you can imagine, it will be challenging to type such text frequently and without errors.
We are switching quite a few users to PDF-XChange Editor Plus and unfortunately it does not provide this functionality as far as I can see.

Please let me know if there is a feature enhancement request created for this and if you have any ideas for a workaround, even if it would require us to write something custom in JavaScript. The only option I can think of is having a bunch of stamps, but it can get messy with lots of options.

It is not something we offer at the moment, and I cannot make any promises for the future, but I will be sure to bring it up internally when we are next looking at such features.

I just added an experimental javascript tool that does this if you'd like to give it a try: viewtopic.php?p=196700#p196700

The tool allows you to create a list of default autocompletes that could be distributed with the script. Or the autocompletes can be saved specifically to a document. It runs into problems a bit with locked documents - I've not figured out a clean way to remove the keypress actions when they are closed.

Thank you Mathew, you clearly put a lot of time and effort into this workaround. It might be too challenging to add to our workflow, but I'll check it out.

Daniel, I appreciate that you created or found the feature request as well! It shows that that you guys take the requests seriously, even if it may or may not be implemented.

I am afraid that I do not have any news on its progress at the moment. Our task list is quite long, but I will add your voice to this one, so we can hopefully increase its priority in the future.
