OK, I feel like an idiot asking this as I see there seem to be hundreds of posts on this topic - but I just don't get it.
I am sick of Adobe and have been looking for a way out for a while now - and I think PDF-Xchange will give my users the tools they need to edit their PDF files... How PDF files became anything other than a container to share is beyond me. Anyhow - I purchased a 3 user pack of Editor Plus to start with a few test cases. Some of these folks (including me) also have laptops in addition to our primary desktop stations. I note the licensing (and many forum posts) claim that the licensing is per user and we can install Editor on both desktop AND laptop... This would result in a total of 6 installations on my 3 user license.
I have installed Editor on both my desktop and laptop - my account page on PDF Xchange website shows both installations (makes sense). Question - if I continue at this rate, will my license allow a total of 6 simultaneous installs? Of which all will be operational?
Sorry to be thick - I guess I could just keep installing and find out on my own and deactivate if it doesn't work out. But I'm really trying to win over these Adobe diehards and don't want to start out with a licensing issue on the Acrobat replacement.
Thanks!

Re: Multiple Device Installs
Hello, TJNEW
You may be one of few people these days that recognize PDF was originally intended only as a sharing/presentation format, and that all of these editing features are going well above and beyond what it was supposed to do at the start!
Moving on the the topic at hand,
Kind regards,

Moving on the the topic at hand,
- Each user in a license, is entitled to have the software installed on 2 devices, provided that the licensed software is only accessible to users covered by that license. (EG, if you had a 5 user license, you could install on 10 company owned devices, so long as only those 5 users can access it on any of those device.
 - The licensing is based on your "total" user count, and is never a concurrent count. EG, if you have two shifts of 5 users, sharing 5 devices, a 10-user license would still be required to cover all 10 (total) users, despite the fact only 5 can access the software concurrently.

Re: Multiple Device Installs
Thanks for the speedy reply, Daniel! That's exactly how I understood it, but wanted to avoid anything other than a painless transition for some staff that are hesitant to give up Adobe - but as far as I can tell, your Editor app provides not only a more user friendly GUI, but a more comprehensive toolset for editing. Speaking of which, perhaps it's my age but it boggles my mind how many people _expect_ PDF files to be an editable document similar to Word or other publishing applications! They get confused when I get frustrated watching them try to mangle a PDF document - adding text and images, rearranging layouts and generally working as though they were creating a newsletter in Acrobat from scratch lol. (PS - the news of Microsoft abandoning Publisher does not help... And I have shot down all suggestions to purchase Adobe InDesign as a replacement lol).
We have approximately 20 users working like this - beyond Adobe's ever more expensive subscription model, the constant 'updates' removing easy access to tools while simultaneously forcing their AI and cloud environment upon us has pushed me over the edge! I hope to dump Adobe completely and replace them all with PDF-Xchange!
