[tool] Presentation tool Vanishing Markups SOLVED

There's an official feature request for presentation mode options built-in. In the mean time this tool allows markups to be temporary (they will be removed after a configurable number of seconds).

Installation
Download and extract the zip file, and copy to %APPDATA%\Tracker Software\PDFXEditor\3.0\Javascripts

Usage
When the tool is installed and the application restarted, it adds a button to the Quick Launch toolbar in the top right corner of the window:

Click on the button to start the tool. If Ctrl is held down when starting the tool, it will skip the dialog and just start the tool.

The tool can also be run by pressing Ctrl-F12 (the shortcut can be changed with Customize Toolbars… > right click on the tool button > Properties)

There are two ways the tool can be run:

1. Current Document:
   If there is a document open, it opens the following menu and runs only for the currently active document:

2. All Documents:
   If there are no documents open, the tool will run for all documents that are opened, until the tool is cancelled. Instead of the option to start presentation mode, there's an option to disable/enable a warning dialog:

   If the warning is enabled, each time a document is opened while the tool is running it will show the following just to remind you that markups will be deleted:

To cancel the Vanishing Markups tool, select the tool again:

The tool can be set to erase All Markups; any Highlight type markups (ie Highlight Text, Highlight Area, or Free Highlight); or just Free Highlight markups.

Hold Time is the approximate amount of time for the tool to wait until it deletes the markup.

Fade effect reduces the opacity of the markup over about 1/2 second before it is deleted. It's a bit more slick, but it adds lots of Undo's.

The CTRL menu is a popup menu with options to save recently drawn markup, or pause deleting ("Disappearing") markup, and some shortcuts to markup tools that will show up when the F12 key is pressed (and when the Ctrl key is pressed if "enabled"):

The CTRL menu tool shortcuts are configurable by pressing the [ Edit ] button:

Presentation Mode (ie only the document and no menus show) can be enabled when the tool closes -- you'll get a warning from PXCE. Alternatively, presentation mode can be enabled with the built-in button

Limitations

• The tool is deleting markup, so each time, it adds to the list of undos. If "Fade" is enabled, it will add a lot more undos.
• The tool will only work on PDF XChange version 10.5.0 (build 393) onwards.
