Hello all,

When specifying “Page Width” as the zoom ratio in the preview of the “Split Pages”, “Crop Pages”, and “Resize Pages” dialogs, the preview size should zoom to fit the “Page Width” exactly, so a horizontal scroll bar should not appear. However, I noticed that it sometimes appears anyway.

The specific conditions for this occurrence are as follows:

• The document has two or more pages.
• Based on the dialog size and document size, the situation should ultimately require a vertical scroll bar to be displayed.

When both of these conditions are met simultaneously, selecting “Page Width” from the zoom ratio dropdown list inexplicably displays a horizontal scroll bar. In such cases, the horizontal scroll bar disappears by performing one of the following actions (*):

• Drag the vertical scroll bar handle to scroll.
• Click a page number on the page guides at the bottom of the preview area to display a different page.

Even if it disappears, selecting “Page Height” from the zoom ratio dropdown list and then selecting “Page Width” again will cause the horizontal scroll bar to reappear.

In the verification video below, please note that when performing the actions indicated by (*), not only does the horizontal scroll bar disappear, but the zoom ratio also changes slightly at the same time.

When selecting “Page Width” from the zoom ratio dropdown list, it appears to me that the width of the vertical scrollbar UI control is not factored into the initial zoom ratio calculation. This causes the rendering to extend beyond the preview area by the width of the vertical scroll bar, likely triggering the horizontal scroll bar to appear.

When performing the operation listed in (*), the zoom ratio is automatically reset to one that correctly accounts for the width of the vertical scroll bar UI control. As a result, the horizontal scroll bar should no longer be necessary and should disappear from the preview screen.
