[Suggestion] Improve Handling of Variable Fonts in Font Selection Dropdown

Hello all,

I would like to offer a suggestion regarding the handling of variable fonts in the font selection dropdown for text comments.

Currently, when selecting fonts such as Bahnschrift or Segoe UI Variable—which are variable fonts included by default in Windows—the dropdown displays multiple entries corresponding to different font weights or styles. However, when any of these are selected for text comments, the visual appearance remains the same, regardless of the specific variant chosen.

This behavior can be confusing for users, as the dropdown implies that different visual styles are available, while in practice, the rendered text does not reflect these differences. In contrast, applications like Adobe Acrobat display only a single representative entry for such variable fonts, which helps avoid this confusion.

Therefore, I would like to suggest that PDF-XChange Editor adopt a similar approach: When a variable font is detected, display only one representative entry in the font selection list, corresponding to the actual style that can be rendered in text comments.

This change could improve usability and reduce potential misunderstandings for users working with variable fonts in annotations.
