Hi all,
Been using PDF-XChange Editor for a while to mark up and tweak some PDF docs, but lately when I’m away from the office, the software gets a bit sluggish. Some of my notes or highlights don’t always save properly. I reckon it might be down to my connection, as I often use a mobile eSIM when travelling, rather than proper Wi-Fi. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? How do you lot manage heavier PDFs when you’re not on a stable network? Any tips would be grand.
Cheers!

Re: Having issues editing PDFs on the go
Hi Karlaa,
The software does not depend on an internet connection, so it's unclear why you would be experiencing these issues. Can you please clarify your work setup and how you are editing/saving files etc?
Many thanks,

Re: Having issues editing PDFs on the go
Hi,
Yep, makes sense, I probably wasn’t super clear, my bad.
I know PDF-XChange itself doesn’t need internet, I was more thinking indirect stuff.
My setup is pretty simple: laptop, files sometimes opened from a synced folder (cloud drive), sometimes saved back there when I’m on the move. When I’m travelling I’m often on a mobile connection via eSIM, not always super stable, even if I try to grab decent eSIM discounts before leaving. When the signal drops or slows, that’s when I notice weird things: annotations not saving straight away, or the editor lagging a bit on bigger PDFs.

Okay, thanks for clarifying - that sounds like issues with your internet connection, rather than issues with Editor, I'm afraid.
Kind regards,
