Making selected text appear as pop up note comment

Hello and happy new year.

When I highlight some text using the highlight tool, or have text selected when I click that tool, both of which which create the highlight as a a "comment," is it possible to have by default the selected text BE the actual comment text associated with the highlight, in comments pane and in the highlight's pop up note?

I have found the option that hides/shows the "Enter text..." box, and I might expect to find such an option in the same place, but no.

Is it possible to do this, or similar though some other method?

Hello XChangeGirl,

You might want to try enabling the “Copy selected text into pop-ups of newly created Text Markup comments” option in the Commenting category of the Preferences dialog.

• Select the Copy selected text into pop-ups of newly created Text Markup comments box as desired. Text that the Highlight, Strikeout and Underline Text tools are used to annotate will automatically be copied into their pop-up note when this setting is enabled.
