Add preference for disabling touch comment movement

When using a touch sensitive display (e.g. on tablets) scrolling through a document can easily lead to unintentional movement of existing comments. Therefore a new preference would be nice, like "Allow touch based comment movement", which would be by default set to true (current behavior), but could be set to false (disabling touch based movement of comments).

I feel the same way and actually made a similar request in the past, but unfortunately it was rejected at the time. I really hope your post helps bring about a change!

At this time I am very sorry to say this item has been rejected for the foreseeable future. At the very least, it will be reconsidered in time, but I cannot make any promises for when exactly that will happen, or if it will result in any changes at that time.

This does actually already exist as a (somewhat generically named) Feature request from 2024

RT#6925: FR: Touch controls - Document tab scrolling improvement.

It is still a low priority item, but I will add your support to it, so we can hopefully see some increase in priority soon. As usual I cannot promise the implementation until i hear it is complete from the dev team, but for now they are at least aware and working on improvements to ensure that comments are not accidentally grabbed while scrolling through the file.
