Thunderbird or outlook folder to PDF

Hello,

I want to print a thunderbird email folder with attachement in one pdf (or several, and then merge them).

With PDF printer, we can print all the mails of a thunderbird folder, but without attachements. And the problem is that you have to confirme for each mail the nam under which it will be registered. It is a problem when you have thousands of mails besides that this name is based on the subject of the message, and therefore that there are often duplicates ... !
It is just unusable !

Though there are specialized tools to do this, PDF tools don't have these feature.

It is a lack that must be filled: it is hard to pay for your solution that is supposed to be very complete, and have to use other one to answer this need.
These tools are very useful for archives or when in a trial you have to produce all your mails....

The problem is the same with Outlook: though it is possible to print in only one pdf, attaachement are printed separately instead of being printed just after the mail.

we do have an Outlook plugin and we could do something there, it would be slated as long term.

For Mozilla we have nothing and it is questionable whether this will happen, especially given the uncertain future Thunderbird has at present.

I have raised a Feature Request for this:
#4067: Feature Request : Thunderbird or outlook folder to PDF. (internal only)
It is set to long term.

Thank you for your answer.
It is possible to export email with mozzilla. It makes files with extension .eml.
A lot of other mail app uses this format.
So, wether you developp a plugin for Mozzilla or not, please make something to be able to merge .eml files with their attachements in one pdf.

However, do you mean to convert each file to separate PDF files or to combine all email files into one PDF file?

Manual way is helpful but you have to export each folder individually. So with large data it is take lots of time.

If you are referring to the PDF Tools approach you can opt for the tool to also look into the subfolders.
