PDF XChange Editor Plus is crashing a lot

Hi,

I used to use PDF XChange a lot in the past. Since I liked the program so much and I wanted to have more features, I recently decided to buy PDF XChange Editor Plus.

However, since I installed the paid version, the program is crashing a lot. After the application is operational for a few minues and I do some handling (changing PDF, opening PDF, saving PDF, whatever...) it stops responding and I have to restart it again.

Not really something I'm expecting from a paid version!

I never had this issue for all the years (15+) I've been using the free version.

I'm disappointed by this behaviour, really...

Pls. tell me if there's a log file or whatever I can send to the developers to see what's going on.

OS: Windows 10 - Home edition with extended support
PDF XChange Editor Plus: 10.8.1, build 406 (Enhanced OCR).

Hello GeertVc,

This is a know issue for build 10.8.1 that was addressed with our current build 10.8.2:

If your license allow it please update to the current build and the issue would be resolved.

Thanks for this info. I just downloaded version 10.8.2, build 407 (OCR) and I will follow this up.

I'll let you know if this indeed resolves the issue.

We're a couple of days later and so far, so good. Didn't see those random crashes anymore with the latest (and greatest???) version.

Hi. Can you confirm whether your paid version issue has been resolved? I recently moved across from, PDF X and I want to be certain of this apps quality before I decide whether to upgrade. Thx

it was addressed in the last build which looks pretty stable. Please update to 10.8.2.407 and test it's working before buying.
