Change the border/outline color of comments

Post by kio »

Hello:

Can I change the border, - I mean, the outline -, of the comment? In the photo, after I selected the comment "eeeeeeeeee" (which is on the right [see blue arrow]), the border/outline of the word "non" appeared (obviously), underlined in yellow.

This underlining, however, gets confused with the other four comments ("repetendi," "damnarem," "tanto," "damnarem"), both because the border is yellow and because it's thin.
In fact, when I click on the comment "eeeeeeeeee" (blue arrow), I can't tell which of the five words I'm actually seeing in the text.

I know I could click directly with the mouse (see green arrow) on the comment "non" in the text, but many times it's easier and more useful for me to click on the comments instead, directly from the "comments box" (which is on the right[/blue arrow]).

Here's an enlarged photo, where you can (correctly) see that the yellow border is really thin and almost invisible and transparent: it's as if it weren't there (the 4 blue arrows indicate to look at the border of the word "non").

Could we then choose the border/outline colors of the comments, e.g., blue? So that this blue border is visible BOTH in the word "not" and in the "comment box" "eeeeeeeeee"?

Hello, kio

This color is not part of the document and will appear different in every application on which you select the comment, based on that software's settings.
In the case of our editor, you can control selection color for your current installation of our Editor, via the preferences menu:

I hope this helps

Kind regards,
