Insert clipboard image

When inserting a file image into a document, I know I can specify the size you want by dragging the mouse.
However, when I insert an image on the clipboard, I have to paste it first and then adjust the image size.
When I put a clipboard image, is there any way I can size it with a mouse drag or paste it to a predetermined size?

it's great to hear that this feature request has been accepted and work on it is already about to begin.

I'd like to note that when inserting an image from the clipboard, the DPI of the image, if included in the clipboard, already seems to be taken into account, both when the image is inserted as a comment object, i.e., a stamp, or when it is inserted as a content object. This is already excellent.

Now that additional work on this underway, I think the closely related feature request below could also be taken into account:
