dynamic text fields?

What I try to achieve is a Text field that grows vertically depending on how much text is added.

So far I can only choose to have a scrollbar
or
dynamic text wich shrinks the size down

Both versions aren't really prefered.

(And yes the base is an old form created in Adobe Lifecycler wich apparnetly had that dynamic behavior by default)

At this time, it is not possible to create a form field item which grows dynamically like this.
The PDF Specification has an allowance for specially formatted "XFA" content, but that is not the default state of form fields due to its high complexity and compatibility issues with the vast majority of non-Acrobat PDF software. Even we struggle to make full use of all XFA content that exists at this time.

As such, we do not yet offer the ability to create Dynamic XFA files, and such features are likely still years away. If you need that specific functionality, both you and every recipient of your document will likely need to be using Adobe Acrobat specifically, to ensure the form works as expected.
