Not recognizing license
Why am I getting these "stamps" when I have a valid license? And, how to fix? Thank you.

Re: Not recognizing license
Hello jordan tucker,
Stamps or links indicating a demo version added before licensing are set within the PDF file itself.
Therefore, they will not automatically disappear once the license is activated; they must be manually removed.
The following Knowledgebase may be helpful.

Re: Not recognizing license
Thanks for responding, but the program is applying the stamps to Word documents that are being converted to pdf with the license well in place.

Re: Not recognizing license
Hi,
It also depends of the method you are using to convert from Word-docx to PDF ...
1) You can directly open a docx in PDF-XChange Editor via the File-menu > Open > Browse or drag-and-drop a docx-file from Windows File Explorer onto the PDF-XChange Editor application-window. This should work with your current license. No demo-stamps. Preferred method.
2) In case you have installed the PDF-XChange Standard printer (demo version), you can:
- run a File > Print from within Word towards the PDF-XChange Standard printer. This will create a PDF with demo-stamps.
- use the PDF-XChange Office-addin toolbar in Word and click "Convert to PDF". This will also create demo-stamps.
See: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgeba ... nts-to-PDF
3) File > Print from within Word towards the PDF-XChange Lite printer (included in your PDF-XChange Editor license). This will create a PDF-file without demo-stamps.
4) In case you have the full-version of Microsoft Word, you can execute (in the Word-application) a File > Save As to a PDF-document. This will create a PDF without demo-stamps.
Does that help ?

Re: Not recognizing license
Hello,
Willy's above post is entirely correct. What you show in the initial post is an "Editor Plus" license, which explicitly does not include the "Standard" printer. If this printer engine, or the Ms Office toolbar addin are available, neither are licensed.
If you need these advanced features, you will need to upgrade your license the the "PDF-Xchange PRO" bundle.
If you do not need the toolbar addin explicitly, and printing to the "lite" printer would suffice, please uninstall all of our software, restart your PC, and then run ONLY the Editor Plus installer from your account page (this will include the lite printer, ensuring that you only have software installed which your license can cover).
Kind regards,

Re: Not recognizing license
I apologize, but I'm really not understanding. I have multiple computers all running PDF-XChange Editor as well as PDF-XChange Driver Standard. Only one computer is applying the stamps. With the others, while using an updated and licensed version of Word, I'm able to click the add-on and with one click, convert my Word document into a PDF that opens into XChange without any stamps. I can't figure out the difference between this computer and four others. Thanks much.

Re: Not recognizing license
Hello, jordan tucker
If the Standard printer is working on other installations, you likely have another license in place on those devices which is covering it. Please check the "help > license key" menu on those other devices, to check if there is another license in place.
If there is, you likely need to apply that license to the current device as well.

Re: Not recognizing license
Hi - it's the same license on another computer that is working fine (meaning no stamps). Also, I don't know if it matters, but I'm able to delete the stamps from the non-working computer, which I don't think would work without the proper license in place. Thanks.

Re: Not recognizing license
Hello, jordan tucker
My apologies, I forgot that Standard printer licenses do not appear in the Editor licensing window (as the Editor itself does not include the standard printer).
Please open your windows "printers and scanner" menu, then locate the license key window, and ensure that you have the same license key in place for the Standard printer, on both devices.
Also, looking forward, please do not share screenshots of your licenses here, this is a public forum, and if a key is improperly shared or overused, we will be required to revoke it without warning. (I have removed the screenshots from your previous posts for safety).
