Hi,
I am confused by the behaviour of the log file of the folder monitor.
I have configured the log file following:
Logfile_%[Date:yyyyMMdd]_%[Hour]%[Minute]%[Seconds]_%[AutoNumber].log
So I expected that for each file a new log file is created or at least for each run of the tool.
To file monitor triggered more than 100 runs in the last two days but it seems the log file is created once and than the content is overwritten each time.
Is there any way to keep all data in there or create for each run a new file?
Thanks,
Sönke

Re: logfile behaviour of file monitor
Hello, soenke
I have reproduced the issue here, and unfortunately cannot find a workaround to it, beyond stopping and restarting the tool each time it is needed... which wholly defeats the purpose of the folder monitor.
As such, the issue has been escalated to the Dev team for investigation and resolution. Hopefully this is something we can resolve in time for the 10.8.3 release which should be coming in a few weeks time.
I do apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
Kind regards,

Hi soenke,
There was only one entry in the version history for Tools on the latest update:
"Fixed the issue where folder monitor reports were overwritten instead of being appended to existing files."
I believe this is the issue that you were experiencing. Can you please ensure you have updated the software and try again?
