Date picker button position in comb fields

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the visual display of the date picker button in PDF forms.

When opening a form with a date field (specifically one formatted as a comb field), I noticed a distinct difference in how [Another competing PDF Application] and PDF-XChange render the interface:

Another Competing PDF Application: The drop-down arrow button is displayed next to / outside the text field boundary. In my opinion, this looks correct.



PDF-XChange: The button is displayed inside the text field. In comb-style fields, this looks quite strange because the button essentially sits inside the last character box.

My question is: Is there any preference or setting in PDF-XChange to change this behavior so that the drop-down button is rendered completely outside of the field, just like it is in [Another competing PDF Application]?

Hi Hertz,

Perhaps you could share that document here so that we could take a look? It appears there might be some formatting errors there. The default settings in PDF-XChange Editor attach the dropdown menu outside of the comb boxes, and there should be no overlap, as you can see here:

Also, notice how the alignment of the last digit changes with different zoom levels:
