PDF-Xchange Viewer v2.0.0039 RC1

I'm a little confused about the new PDF-Xchange Viewer v2.0.0039 RC1 from August 1 2008, 17:08:13.
- The archive is dated 2008-08-02
- Setup (PDFXVwer.exe) is dated 2008-07-01
- Program (PDFXCview.exe) is dated 2008-03-07

And BTW: where's the changelog?

Hi,

The date is set back due to issues with our code signing module.

You can either wait until next week when we will correct this issue - or have the udpate now - same with the version history.

It may also be necessary to download the full install rather than use the update option for similar reasons.

But also something is changed last minutes, it's still confusing because https://www.pdf-xchange.com/downloads/users/ shows v2.0039 for both versions, but download is v2.0038.2.

Please check again - I suspect one of the mirror servers for the full download had not quite refreshed when you tried - have checked and all mirrors are now synchronised.

I have a similar problem with pdf-documents created with pdf-printers (e.g. CutePDF, pdf995,...).
When viewed with Adobe (right bottom corner) the files are displayed correctly.
Problem started after updating to v2.0.0039.

Problem with such files fixed into build 39 RC2, which will be available soon.

This problem still exists in version 2.039 that was posted for download on August 2, 2008.

Did you see RC1 word in about box? This mean that you have Release Candidate 1, not final release or even RC2.

Too bad, that you offer v2.0.0039 RC1 in updater, but it just says v2.0.0039. People think it's final, but it isn't...

I agree with Andreas, please only offer final versions with the automatic updater. People who like to test beta/prerelease versions will download the software manually anyway, but the rest of us who trust the automatic updates may get a nasty surprise ...

Update - I have tested RC2 of version 2.039 (download link in the immediately preceding post) and it appears to correct the problem that I reported earlier. Thanks for the prompt correction.
