RT#7832: Suggested Improvement for "Loop After Last Page" Feature

Post by rakunavi »

Hello all,

I would like to suggest an improvement regarding the "Loop after last page" option in the Full Screen preferences.

While both PDF-XChange Editor and Adobe Acrobat have this option, their behaviors differ significantly:

  • figure.png
In PDF-XChange Editor, the page only loops when clicking or double-clicking the page while "Presentation Mode" is enabled. However, it does not loop when using other inputs, such as arrow keys, the Space bar, PageUp/PageDown, or the mouse wheel. Furthermore, if "Presentation Mode" is disabled, manual page switching via clicking is no longer possible, meaning there is no way to loop the document even if the loop option is checked.

In contrast, Adobe Acrobat allows the document to loop regardless of the input method (keyboard, wheel, or click), as long as the "Loop after last page" option is enabled.

I believe PDF-XChange Editor's usability would be greatly improved if the looping behavior were consistent across all navigation methods, similar to Acrobat. What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Best regards,
rakunavi
