Editing the file list when the file list is in precessing

Post by netsonicyxf »

I have used some video processing tools, they allow user to add addtional files/folders, remove the existing files, stop the current processing of the file and continue on the next one.

Is it possible to add these functions to PDF-Tools?

Hello, netsonicyxf

Could you please clarify what result you expect when adding additional files while others are already being processed?
Also, could you describe your workflow in more detail?

Best regards,

Suppose the PDF-Tools is OCRing a very big file, while you want to add addional PDFs into the list.
You can’t add these files without stopping the currect work. But if you stop the currect work you lose all your previous working progress on that big file.

With the new feature, you can add additional files without stopping the current work.

Hello netsonicyxf,

Unfortunately, we are not planning to implement the requested feature at this time. However, you can use the existing mechanisms below to achieve your goal:

1. Folder Monitors

You can configure a Folder Monitor for a specific folder and place any files you want processed into that folder.

For more information, please refer to our online help:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxt10/fo ... ors_t.html

2. Windows Shell Menu

You can add your OCR tool to the Shell Menu category and then simply right-click the files you want to process.

For instructions on adding tools to the Windows Shell Menu, please refer to our online help:
