PDF-Pro

I have just updated PDF PRO and Editor and it seems that the PDF-Pro Icon is missing.

Looking at the window apps page, both PRO and Editor is installed but only the editor icon is available. The Pro app has somewhat larger in size.

I run the Pro installer repair option, rebooted for good measure but the Pro Icon is still missing.

Opening the updater/installed products shows that both products are installed to version 11.0.1.0 - screen grab below.

I am using windows 10 Pro 22H2

Can anyone help me get the icon back?

I have just visited the Tracker website and noticed there is no reference to Editor Pro but there is to Editor Plus.

Hmmm, I wonder when did Editor Pro turn into Editor Plus? Could this be the root of my missing icon problem?

PDF X-Change Pro is a bundle of programs rather than a singe one. Included in the bundle are:

• PDF-XChange Editor Plus

• PDF-Tools

• PDF-XChange Standard

In addition to what Lev noted above, since the "PDF-XChange PRO" bundle includes the Editor/Editor Plus application, it is discouraged to have both installed side by side. It can and likely will cause conflicts during future updates.

If you hold a PRO license, please uninstall both appliation installed, then restart the PC, and run only the PRO installer, as presented on your account page, to prevent those kinds of issues.

Regarding application icons, Lev is correct, there is no "PRO" application, and it should not have an icon on your desktop.

• If you need to view and edit PDF files - the "Editor" is the included application to do so.
• If you need to print from other applications, the "Printer Standard" is the included application and printer driver to do so
• If you need to perform batch processing actions, PDF-Tools is the application to do so.
