Has anyone succeeded in automating PDF exports in PDF-XChange?

Hi,

I've been trying to set up an automated workflow for my PDF exports in PDF-XChange Editor for a while now.
Basically, I have about twenty Word reports that I need to convert to PDF every week, with specific settings (compression, metadata, color profile, etc.).
Doing this manually is clearly not sustainable in the long run; I easily spend 45 minutes on it every Monday morning.

I've looked into scripts and third-party automation tools to see if I could run batch conversions from the command line or via a dedicated tool.
The problem is that the PDF-XChange documentation on this is quite vague, and the examples I've found are a bit outdated.
Has anyone here already set up this kind of automated workflow? What tool did you use, and what command-line options did you choose?

Can you please share a link to the documentation that you're referring to?

Note that for batch-conversion operations, PDF-Tools is generally a better bet than PDF-XChange Editor. You can also use it to set up a folder monitor, which will perform the desired operations whenever files are added to the folder in question.
