Hello,
I'm using PDF Xchange Editor 11.0.1. My ISP e-mailed me documents for the new contract and I can't remove the password protection from it. The documents opens just fine when I type the password, but when I go to Document Protection and choose "no protection", I get three times the prompt "type the correct password of the document's owner" and then nothing. It's infuriating to have to type their password every time to read some boilerplate document. Can you help?

Re: can't remove password
Hi,
When you have to type a password when opening the document, that means that the document is "Read"-protected.
(= User password)
When you have to type a password when trying to remove that "Read"-protection, that means that the document is also "Write"-protected.
(= Owner password)
I suppose you only know the "User"-password and not the "Owner"-password ?
Kind regards.

Re: can't remove password
Hello,
Willy is correct here, with the two different passwords in place, you need to know the owner password specifically to make changes. We cannot assist in bypassing these security methods, so you will either need to acquire the password, or contact the creator of the file and request an unlocked copy.
