Multiple Issues v11.0.1 SOLVED

My users are reporting the following issues:

1. Contextual menu 'combine in PDF-XChange' does not work.
2. Contextual menu for just opening a file with PDF X-change editor also does not work.
3. Formatting problems with generating a PDF from something created with the our internal word template.

Any fixes/ideas?

May I ask which exact version of the product the users have installed on their machines?

You can check this under PDF‑XChange Editor → Help → About.

Also, please try temporarily disabling the locally installed antivirus software and see whether this affects how the product behaves.

I have tested the features that you mentioned in v 11.0.1, and I cannot reproduct the issues you mentioned - they all work okay on my installation. Can you please uninstall and reinstall the software and see if that resolves the issue? If it does not resolve the issue, can you please provide some more information about the exact steps you're taking to try and perform these operations, and where they break down?

Contextual Menu (right Click)
When I Right click and select the following (Edit with PDF-Xchange Editor) - See Pic 1


What should happen is that the software opens the selected word document. I can then choose to save as (amongst other options) a PDF. For Rev 11.0.0 this would ‘hang’. This functionality has now been returned; however, there are still problems. I’m using the SFEL word template and this current rev of the software does THIS - See Pic 2

I’m expecting it to look like THIS: - See Pic 3


I get exactly the same effect if I open the Word document from within an already opened PDF-Xchange Editor instance or if I drag and drop the document into the software.

The ‘Black Object’ issue also happens when I select multiple items and choose the ‘combine’ option - See Pic 4

It does not happen if I select 2 existing PDF documents and combine them – I think that the issue is around the conversion process and how it handles the text block – it appears to be setting the current transparent background to a solid colour.
