I am trying to update PDF-XChange Viewer 2.038 using the Live Update feature.
I keep getting a message "error during downloading update--error 12002--operation timed out."
I get the message sometimes right at the beginning before it actually starts downloading and sometimes after it has downloaded a couple of mb.
What is the problem?
Can I update by just downloading the new version 2.039 and installing it over the version that is on my computer? Will it update ok or will it install an additional copy on the computer?
Your help is appreciated.

No problem. Just download the new version and install it in the same folder over the top of the old one.
