Hi,
I am using the auto-fill feature for form fields in PDF-XChange Editor. The text that appears in the filled fields is too large and I would like to change both the font size and font style.
However, I cannot find a way to modify the text appearance — neither before entering the values nor after. There seems to be no option to edit the font properties of the filled fields.
Is there a way to change the font size and style for auto-filled form fields?
Thanks!
please answer

Re: How to change font size and style in auto-filled form fields?
Hi,
Thank you for the response — I understand how to edit individual fields after the fact using the Text Field Properties panel.
However, my question was about setting the default properties before running Identify Forms, so that all auto-detected fields are created with the correct font, size and alignment from the start — rather than having to manually edit each field afterward, which is tedious and impractical when there are many fields.
Is there a way to configure these defaults upfront?
Thanks!

Re: How to change font size and style in auto-filled form fields?
Hello, shay1948
I am afraid not, Identify forms can create filed at various sizes depending on the size of the document, and the position of other nearby detected fields. It is not possible to define primary values before identifying forms. Instead, you can customize these values for multiple fields at once. This way, if your form is consistently a specific scale, you need only select all the text boxes, and adjust the font size once.
On the other hand, the default font size value is "auto", which is recommended for all form filling scenarios, as it causes the text to automatically resize as necessary, so that the text that was written fits inside the given space. If you manually define a size, and the text goes beyond the end of the filed, it will simply "scroll" making it difficult for anyone reading the form later on to know the field data goes beyond the visible area.
Kind regards,
