I used PDF-Tools 11.0.1 to convert word to pdf. But the PDF is not readable.

Could you please send us screenshots of the tool you are using, as well as its conversion settings?
This will help us understand exactly how the file is being converted and identify what may be causing the issue.

We do not natively support "*.Doc" file type conversions. This is being read as an HTML/Txt file, which is why the output is illegible - and unfortunately that is expected.
To prevent this, you will need to use MS Word to convert the document to a "*.Docx" file type, or simply use the "print" command and send the print job to one of our printers.
