When I group the entirety of all objects on a page and then move the group on the page, the hyperlink designation fields do not move along with the group to the new location that the group is moved to. And then I have to go back and manually move the link designation field back to it's proper location within the text. I can see that the link designation field is selected and highlighted with the rest of the grouped objects on the page so I can't figure out why it doesn't move with the rest of the selected objects. I could post some screen shots to explain.
Is there a settings to lock/tie the link designation fields within text-box locations (instead of the "page locations") for all existing links in the entire document?
Link designation field doesn't relocate on page when grouped

Re: Link designation field doesn't relocate on page when grouped
Hello, Hammer
Unfortunately there is no setting, and this is intended. Links are a special content type, and allowing them to be selected/moved alongside base content items (such as text) can cause complications in the file structure. We are working on a safe way to do so, for the future, but it is not available yet, and will still take some time.
For now, you will have to manually move your links, using the "add/edit links" tool.
Kind regards,

Re: Link designation field doesn't relocate on page when grouped
Ah ok. The document I'm working on is an existing document that has nearly 12k pages and has thousands of hyperlinks and I have deleted quite a few pages and added one one or two pages and the script seems to be "fixing" and updating the upstream and downstream links addresses when I've checked. And a bunch of hyperlink locations that I added myself (when using Acrobat before I dumped Acrobat) seem to be having the link page locations correctly updated also. All the links that I created I made with the link creation tool using the page numbers instead of the other type of link and I've discovered that "absolute" page numbers can be a problem. But back to the original topic, I thought that since the link addresses seemed to be getting updated with the correct page locations that the link designation field placement on the pages wouldn't matter and was maybe just some kind of glitch or setting. But thanks for the reply.Daniel - PDF-XChange wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2026 9:14 pm Hello, Hammer
