Windows 10
Editor Pro
54" 4K monitor/tv
Is there anyway to change the default magnification of main title bookmarks? They come up at 145% on my copy of editor pro, which is really annoying when you're viewing all other pages at say 50% or 75%. I want all bookmarks, main title or sub category, to come up at whatever magnification that I'm viewing any other pages.

Re: Main title bookmark view - change preferred view magnification setting
Hello, Hammer
There is no "zoom" function for bookmarks, the closest we offer is a text size option, of small/medium/large: If this is not already on small, you can try that, perhaps?
Unfortunately, the "zoom scale" of a document is anything but consistent when compared to panes like the bookmarks. You might spend ten minutes looking at an a4 docuemnt at 100% zoom, and then swtich to an A0 sized architectural plan, requiring you zoom in to 600% to read anything... If we offered zoom level dependent actions like this, your bookmarks pane would be untenably sized in certain documents, instead of maintaining a consistent size.
Kind regards,

Re: Main title bookmark view - change preferred view magnification setting
Hello Hammer,
Each bookmark can contain its own destination zoom setting, and if a fixed magnification is stored there, clicking the bookmark will override your current zoom level.
If you want all bookmarks to respect whatever zoom percentage you are currently using, you can batch‑change their zoom type to “Inherit” Zoom. Here is how to do that in PDF‑XChange Editor:
If you prefer not to modify the document itself, you can also instruct your viewer to ignore zoom commands entirely:
Hopefully this clarifies the issue and helps you get the bookmark behavior you expect.
Best regards,
rakunavi
It seems there may have been a small misunderstanding in the thread regarding the word “size.” Daniel’s reply focused on the font size of the Bookmarks pane, but if the issue you are experiencing is that the page zoom level changes unexpectedly whenever you click a bookmark, that is caused by a completely different mechanism.Hammer wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 11:22 pm Is there anyway to change the default magnification of main title bookmarks? Hey Daniel and rakunavi thanks for the replies. rakunavi is right. The way I worded my question wasn't quite accurate. "I want all bookmarks.." should have read "I want all bookmarkED PAGES.." to come up with the same magnification as my current page view.
And thank you brother rakunavi, that's exactly the setting I was looking for! I modified the document from the Bookmarks tab on the Ribbon and saved it per your instructions. Perfect solution.
Have a great day!
