Highlighting

I recently downloaded PDF Exchange Viewer V2 Build 39. I love it, but I am not always able to use the highlight tool. I have checked the Security of PDF files that will not allow me to highlight and I see no reason why I can't.

This may seem like a daft question, but is there any text in the file? Can you select the text with the text select tool? I have no problems using the highlighting tool in build 39 RC2.

exactly, it's is maybe scanned pdf without OCR?

Yes, there is text and no, I cannot select any text with the Text Select Tool. Neither can I Underline, or Cross Out any text. I can make Callouts, Sticky Notes, Draw Lines and shapes, Boxes, Ovals etc. If I want to Highlight Text I have to use the Box or Rectangle tool over the text I want to Highlight and then Fill it with color.

can you select text in any other pdf viewer? The best would be to post a page from that document as attachment (zip).

I stongly suspect that this is an image based file (e.g. scanned into PDF format etc) - so if we dont see a file - we will assume this to be the case.
