Lines in drawings does not display as expeted

Hello! Please help me with this case:
When I view my drawing using PDF-XChange Editor Plus (version 10.4.4 build 392), the lines do not appear smoothly — it seems like there are white streaks interwoven into them. However, when I open the same file using Adobe Reader or a web browser, this issue does not occur (please see the attached image and file).

This is a known display issue in PDF-XChange Editor, not a problem with your drawing. It happens because of how the program handles anti-aliasing and transparency flattening.

Try these fixes:

1. Go to Edit → Preferences → Page Display.
2. Disable Smooth line art or Use hardware acceleration — test both settings.
3. Set Rendering Mode to “High quality” and restart the app.
4. Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

Your PDF itself is fine — if it looks normal in another PDF Reader, you don’t need to modify or re-export it. It’s purely a rendering quirk in PDF-XChange.

Thank you for your help. I tried "Disable Smooth line art" but it was even worse.
I cannot find "Use hardware acceleration" or any option to "Set Rendering Mode to “High quality”. Can you please tell me where I can find these setting ?

As Sean noted , this issue was already reported to the development teams and a ticket was added to our internal ticket system:

#7666: Some lines are not displayed as solid in CAD generated PDF.

Hi All,

Same thing is happening for us as we have same issue with drawings. Spent lots of time to check MicroStation lot setting, plot organizer and later had chat with my colleague and he point me to this direction that try other PDF viewers and it worked. So ideally it should WYSWYG when seeing in pdf-xchange. Will wait for development to fix as early as possible as this seems major issue.
