Upgrading to v11

Post by lidds »

I have just upgraded to v11 of PDF Editor SDK and the following code is failing at each catch. Could you please let me know the equivalent code.

Code: Select all

Try
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("General.AppTitle").v = "Ticodi MarkupInsight"
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("MainFrm.TitleStyle").v = 1
Catch ex As Exception
    ' Close wait form
    SplashScreenManager.CloseForm(False)

    XtraMessageBox.Show("41,004 Error setting PDF Viewer form title" & vbNewLine & vbNewLine & ex.StackTrace, "MarkupInsight", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error)
    Debug.WriteLine("Error setting PDF Viewer form title: " & ex.Message)
End Try

' Chnages colour to suit default MarkupInsight colour
Try
    If My.Settings.DarkMode = True Then
        Dim pr As PDFXEdit.ICabNode = myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI")
        pr("Theme").v = "Black"
        myViewer.Inst.FireAppPrefsChanged(PDFXEdit.PXV_AppPrefsChanges.PXV_AppPrefsChange_CustomUI)
    Else
        Dim pr As PDFXEdit.ICabNode = myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI")
        Dim clrArr As PDFXEdit.ICabNode = pr("Colors")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "base", "rgbd(222,222,222)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "face", "rgbd(222,222,222)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "window", "rgbd(255,255,255)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "main.bg", "rgbd(222,222,222)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "dlg.bg", "rgbd(222,222,222)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "pg.bg", "rgbd(248,248,248)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "hot", "rgbd(191,224,255)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "tip", "rgbd(255,255,255)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "tip.dark", "rgbd(255,255,255)")
        SetCustColor(clrArr, "tip.light", "rgbd(255,255,255)")
    End If
Catch ex As Exception
    XtraMessageBox.Show("41,005 Error setting GUI colours" & vbNewLine & vbNewLine & ex.StackTrace, "MarkupInsight", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error)
    Debug.WriteLine("Error setting GUI colours: " & ex.Message)
End Try

Try
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI.Backgrounds.Main.Style").v = "S"
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI.Backgrounds.Main.ShowOverlay").v = False
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI.Backgrounds.Pages.Style").v = "S"
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI.Backgrounds.Pages.ShowOverlay").v = False
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI.Backgrounds.Dialog.Style").v = "S"
    myViewer.Inst.Settings("CustomUI.Backgrounds.Dialog.ShowOverlay").v = False
Catch ex As Exception
    XtraMessageBox.Show("41,006 Error setting GUI flat style" & vbNewLine & vbNewLine & ex.StackTrace, "MarkupInsight", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error)

Thanks Dan,

I am also getting the following error. If this helps.

I have never had this when upgrading versions previously.

Code: Select all

 m_pxcInst = DirectCast(Me.docPreview.Inst.GetExtension("PXC"), PDFXEdit.IPXC_Inst)

Thanks

Simon
