Comments, suggestions and requests

Post by reglis »

Hi

Thanks for this great product.
PDF-XChange Viewer is now my default PDF Viewer but I always uses F*.

"Comments, suggestions and requests welcomed"

1.- As F*, ability to disable "Advertisement".
"Links Editor & Measuring Toolbar" move, you win a bar and save free space.

EDIT: or "Advertisement" in "Menu" bar

2.- As F*, no "horizontal elevator."
You save more free space.

3.- As F*, "Show Cover Page During Facing" option.
Auto Show Cover Page is a good idea but not for all documents.

4.- As F*, "Custom Margin" option.
You save more free space and plans on two pages isn't split in two (A3 simulated).

5.- As Firefox, no tab with a single document.
You save more free space.

6.- As Firefox, ability to move tabs.

Thanks a lot
Régis

P.S. : sorry for my english

1. has been discussed at length in these forums. The solution is very simple, to buy this great viewer. You'll get rid of the ad and support further development at the same time :)

Hi

Solution is even more simple. Disable "Find Toolbar" (not used) and "Links Editor & Measuring Toolbar" move

I respect developer position, if they want "Advertisement", at least as F*, "Advertisement" in "Menu" bar.
By default, F* Toolbar are on one bar, PDF-XChange Viewer Toolbar are on three bar. Ouch.

I prefer have "Advertisement" & "Comment and Markup Toolbar"

1. Position toolbars on the side.

2. What is the "horizontal elevator."

5. View, Navigation Tabs, and Preferences, General, Allow multiple instances. Better still, use the browser plugin.

6. Show all Tabs Thumbnails makes this unnecessary. Organising tabs is a waste of time, but if you must have this, then allow multiple instances and organise your tabs into different instances.

Hi

1.- I want to have all Toolbar on a single bar.
All Toolbar on the side (good idea) I always have a (empty) bar because of "Advertisement"

2.- Bad translation  Horizontal scrollbar

5.- I wanted to say, as with other software, no tab with a single document even if Navigation Tabs is activated.

6.- Even better. PDF-XChange Viewer tabs show all document title not F* :P

1. Then customize the interface to add a new toolbar or put all of the icons on a single toolbar. Customisable Interface The menus can be off (or floating). Alter + Access key pulls them down. The options are almost endless already so I really don't think we need any more.

5. Understood the first time, but you can turn it off. Set a shortcut for to show/hide the tabs.

If space is such an issue why not use Fullscreen mode? You can toggle your single toolbar with a shortcut in fullscreen mode.

Hi

1.- I didn't understand interest of Customize option. Excellent.
Effectively, I don't need any more.

5.- It's a suggestion for the next release.

F12 Full Screen no Facing
F11 Show/Hide All Bars is better :P

Fullscreen F11 is better as that is used by other programs, (customise the shortcut).

Facing pages Shift F11 (customise the shortcut and add a button to your custom toolbar).

The only thing I haven't worked out yet is how to exit fullscreen (Escape) without turning all of the toolbars back on.

Hi

Foxit Reader (default)
http://regis.galliano.free.fr/Forums/Tr ... efault.jpg
1 Toolbar :P

PDF-XChange Viewer (default)
http://regis.galliano.free.fr/Forums/Tr ... efault.jpg
3 Toolbars :? 1 Scrollbar (horizontal) :? 1 Status Bar :?

Older Foxit user's are a bit disappointed.

PDF-XChange Viewer (custom bar)
http://regis.galliano.free.fr/Forums/Tr ... tombar.jpg
1 Toolbar :P

EDIT: I just hide text icons and move Properties Toolbar.

Effectively, F11 Show/Hide All Bars Hide All Bars (Navigation Tabs) :? and Show All Bars (default) :?

F8 Show/Hide All Toolbars
F9 Show/Hide Menu Bar
http://regis.galliano.free.fr/Forums/Tr ... idebar.jpg

If you can, in the next release, Show/Hide Scrollbar option and Custom Margin option it's top :P

you can move the third row next to file toolbar

As I already mentioned, this "ad" thing was already discussed many times on this forum, please search for it. I'm sure we agree that displaying this ad is a little price to pay for this great viewer
