Button for PDF/A

Hello,

I have a question regarding the conversion of PDF documents to PDF/A.

I regularly have to convert a large number of documents to the PDF/A standard. Currently, for each individual file, I have to open the “Save As” dialog and select “PDF/A” as the file type each time, as the dialog defaults to “.pdf”.

This is quite tedious when processing a large number of files.

Would it be possible to add a dedicated button for PDF/A conversion to the program in the future? Alternatively, it would also be very helpful if the PDF/A conversion functionality were accessible via JavaScript. That way, I could create a small custom button for this purpose myself.

If you need to convert a large number of files to PDF/A with frequency, we offer PDF-Tools as a batch processing application that accomplish this directly. Just save your documents as normal, then run the "convert to PDF/A" tool it offers on the folder or bundle of files, and the output will be formatted as needed in a single swift stroke.
