First Plugin creation

Post by tsaolat »

Hi
I'm new to SDK framework and trying to assess if this could suits my needs building a custom plugin.
I would like to test If I can look for a specific text/watermark on active page to enable or disable some functionalities.

I’m trying to use this sample project : https://github.com/pdf-xchange/PDFEditorPluginSample just to ensure I can see the new plugin displayed into the Plugin list before the real work begins.

I’ve made a copy of PDF Editor in a temp folder (to avoid the Program Files) and when building the solution within Visual Studio, I can see the plugin being generated in the proper folder

However, when I launch the debug mode and PDF Editor (our current version is 10.2.1 build 385), I can see the module is loaded and unloaded immediately and thus, not visible in the Plugin List when checking with CTL+K into PDF Editor.

For now, the only changes I made are to rename solution, replace Plugin Name, GUID and stuff like that.
And I would expect my plugin is displayed in the list and active despite the fact it's currently doing nothing.

So I'm wondering if someone could provide some advises about what I'm doing wrong ?

Many thks for your help

Hi tsaolat,

Please note that we have discontinued sales of our SDK licenses in the vast majority of cases. If you would like to apply for one you can do so via [email protected] - but I would strongly suggest you do so before doing any extensive work/testing with samples etc.

Kind regards,
