[Feature Request] Enhance History panel with user-defined collections / pinned groups or folders

Hi team,

First of all — I really like the History panel in PDF-XChange Editor.

I'd like to suggest a modest enhancement to make it even more useful as a lightweight document hub:

Current behavior, the History panel shows a flat list of recently opened documents, ordered by access time.

Suggested enhancement
User-defined collections (virtual folders) — let users create named groups inside the History panel (e.g. "Papers 2026", "Textbooks", "To Read") and drag documents into them. These would be virtual collections pointing to the original file paths, not actual filesystem moves.

Why this matters (my use case)
I use PDF-XChange Editor for research reading and book reading.
If the History panel could hold collections, it would become a natural "reading hub" and reduce the need for yet another app (such as liquidtext&marginnote).

Update:

I'm afraid the development team didn't feel that this idea is not siutable for the History pane, but they did point out that you can use the Places feature for the same pruposes, using a local folder instead of a cloud option:
