The search feature works incomprehensibly.

Not sure if it's a newer thing, or I just didn't pay much attention before. The position where the search finds the first results seems random much of the time. Sometimes I search forward, yet the result it finds is several pages back, even though there were results after the starting position.
Sometimes the first result is many pages later, even though there is result much earlier.
Once I tried higlighting text near the top of the page (thinking it might start from where the text cursor was), searched for a word later on the page, but it found a result pages later instead.
It's super eclectic, I can't even tell if it searches in the proper direction.

On a related note, there's no indication in which direction it searches if I just press enter. It might be last used direction, or always forward, I can't tell.
