please help: processed document does not automatically open

Since it is not working again, I would like to ask for advice once more regarding the possible causes of the unreliable behavior of the PDF tools when it comes to subsequently opening the processed documents.

I defined the following workflow as a tool named "Scan+OCR SW":

1. choose Input Files (via Folder Monitor from the folder "Y:/SW")
2. several processing steps
3. save documents (to "Y:/SCAN2")
4. Show Files

The workflow works up to step 3; the processed document appears in the destination folder "Y:/SCAN2" after processing.
However, the processed document does not automatically open in PDF-XChange Editor.
- PDF-XChange Editor is for sure set as the default program for opening PDF files in Windows.

Hi,
I think that the problem is that you disabled UI interaction in Folder Monitor's setting.
Enable it by choosing 'Use tool settings'

It worked this time—thanks for the tip! I hope it keeps working reliably now.
BUT
It is quite illogical that the log file states the "SCAN+OCR SW" tool executed without errors, even though it didn't actually run to completion (even if it did so without throwing an error). There is no indication as to why the tool wasn't fully applied. That is confusing and makes troubleshooting difficult.
